Via Ed Morrissey, Dan Mitchell, of the Center for Freedom and Prosperity, takes a look at the subsidies provided by the US for the Paris-based Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.

The OECD uses American tax dollars to lobby for nanny-state solutions, including a VAT, more stimulus spending, supporting the political activities of unions, and so on. With Americans paying for a quarter of OECD's budget, we may want to reconsider funding the activists that want to pursue the disastrous economic policies that have created a hidebound Europe and threaten to make high unemployment and stagnation the new normal for the US as well:
