Obama Sending Only 524 National Guard Troops To Arizona Border

Topics: Immigration and Border Issues, Political News and commentaries

That's "524" out of the 6,000 National Guard troops John McCain asked for.

The ridiculous number of troops is bad enough, but what makes it all the more outlandish is that Obama won't be sending them until August:

TUCSON -- Monday's announcement that 524 National Guard troops will be coming to Arizona beginning in August and various amounts will deploy to other border states was met with responses ranging from "it isn't enough" to the Texas governor saying his state is being short-changed by President Barack Obama's plan.
524 troops? And they won't arrive until August?

It's almost as laughable as the administration's claim that the border is now more secure than ever. This, in spite of the fact that thousands of illegal aliens (video) cross the Arizona border every day.
