Sestak says his brother called by White House about alleged job offer (Updated)

Topics: Political News and commentaries

The Washington Post reports that Rep. Joe Sestak (D., Penn.) has confirmed that the White House has been coordinating with his brother, also a top campaign adviser and lawyer, on the release of an official administration answer to the charge of a quid pro quo in the Pennsylvania Senate Democratic primary:

"They got ahold of my brother on his cellphone, and he spoke to the White House . . . about what's going to occur," said Sestak, who said he expects the White House will release its information Friday. He declined to elaborate on his discussions with his brother.
Something about the whole Sestak issue just doesn't seem to pass the smell test. What's so difficult about telling the truth that the WH has to plan "what's about to occur"?

The real take-home message here is that Sestak's brother (Sestak's lawyer and senior adviser) is coordinating their story with the White House, or more likely, vice versa.

UPDATE: Just now via Fox News: WH had Clinton contact Sestak about "other opportunities" so "their guy Spector" could win - and says nothing wrong about it since Clinton not a member of administration.

This story is about what I've been expecting the WH to come up with, and so typical of the way the people in the Obama administration think. It's downright shady, but perhaps, squirrelly enough to pass off as legal.
