Rasmussen poll: 55% of Colorado Voters Favor Immigration Law Like Arizona's (Update)Topics: Immigration and Border Issues, Political News and commentaries
Common sense in Colorado too?
Fifty-five percent (55%) of Colorado voters favor a law like the one just adopted in Arizona that authorizes local police to stop individuals they suspect of being illegal immigrants, according to a new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the state. Thirty-five percent (35%) oppose such a law.As John aptly notes at Powerline, this is despite the unsuccessful campaign to demonize and delegitimize Arizona's effort to enforce the immigration laws, and the relentless negative coverage in the press combined with positive reports on protests against the law, and condemnation by President Obama and many other prominent politicians.
Nationally, 59% of voters favor a law like Arizona's, unchanged from a week earlier despite last weekend's protest rallies. Fifty percent (50%) have an unfavorable opinion of the protestors.

StandWithArizona writes that the speaker is Sanchee H.S. history teacher Ron Gochez, La Raza Rally at UCLA, who says:
We are revolutionary Mexican organization here. We understand that this is not just about Mexico. Its about a global struggle against imperialism and capitalism At the forefront of this revolutionary movement is La Raza. We will no longer fall for these lies called borders. We see America as a northern front of a revolutionary movement Our enemy is capitalism and imperialism.SWA goes on to point out that Ron Gochez is NOT a professor at UCLA. Gochez is currently a HISTORY teacher (yikes) at Santee H.S. in Los Angeles.
And these are the kind of people Obama and the Dems in Congress want to give citizenship? (Note that this speech actually occurred in 2007 at UCLA. - per the below link).
