On Pope Benedict XVI

Topics: Faith, Political News and commentaries

Kathryn Jean Lopez offers some thoughts on Pope Benedict XVI over at the Knights of Columbus "Headline Bistro" site.

She's right. Contrary to MSNBC's (and their ilk's) drumbeat during Holy Week that the veritable end of the Catholic Church - or at least the Vatican was at hand, time will prove Pope Benedict XVI to be the leader of a great Spirit of renewal in the Church. As a near-term measure of this, my parish continues to experience a significant rise in RCIA applicants, and friends returning from visiting churches all over Europe report that those parishes are experiencing the same increase (also, see here and here)
