Given the recent judicial ruling in the lawsuit involving the City of Farmer's Branch, Texas, in which a federal judge ruled that only the federal government has the power to protect people and property on the topic of illegal immigration (essentially banning states from enforcing federal immigration laws - when the federal government fails to do so), one would think that it would have attracted much more attention and closer scrutiny.

After all, as is pointed out over at Atlas Shrugs, it seems that we now have no collective right to self defense, and it may not be soon where one's individual "right" to self defense could be "preempted" in the name of federal sovereignty.
