Kathryn Jean Lopez has a post up over at the corner that's well worth passing along. Given that it's short and right to the point, i'm posting it here in its entirety.

Kathryn writes:

I got an e-mail from a conservative publication this morning that declared in its subject line: "Stupak may betray Pro-Lifers at last minute? Tell him 'hold firm!'"

Bart Stupak has been holding firm for a heck of a long time. Yes, I hope he continues to. But let's just thank and encourage him -- and do what we can to influence other members who haven't demonstrated the same kind of courage he has. The b-word strikes me as not only wholly unnecessary but deeply insulting. Also, extraordinarily ungrateful.

If you happen to be reading this Congressman Stupak (though I doubt The Corner is somewhere he hangs out): Thank you, Bark Stupak. I think you've inspired a number of people these past few months. I pray some of them are pro-life Democrat members of Congress!

If you don't believe in abortion, do not want Obamacare crammed down your throat, and are a constituent of Bart Stupak's (his email doesn't accept messages from those outside his constituency), you might want to take the time to let him know how you feel - and, as Kathryn suggests, thank and encourage him to stand firm.
