The Elephant in the room last night
Topics: Political News and commentaries
As Jules Crittenden aptly notes (and refers to the president's speech as a bizarre, defiant, blame-dodging, position-ditching, doubling-back, credit-grabbing performance), Scott Brown, the upstart, unknown state senator from Massachusetts, was the elephant in the room last night, even though he didn't show up. Nonetheless, Barack refrained from mentioning Scott Brown or refering directly to the Democrats' stunning losses in Massachusetts, or Virginia, or New Jersey.
The above graphic is from the Boston Herald (via Jules). You can grade the president and see the results at the link. Here are the results as of the time of this writing:
What grade does Barak Obama's State of the Union speech deserve?7% - A+, A or A-
5% - B+, B or B-
17% - C+, C or C-
25% - D
27% - F
19% - Don't know because I didn't watch it.
