James O'Keefe speaks out

Topics: Political News and commentaries

O'Keefe's statement paints a much different picture than that put out by the media who were so quick to rush to judgement over his incursion into Mary Landrieu's office in Louisiana. According to O'Keefe, "No one tried to wiretap or bug Senator Landrieu's office. Nor did we try to cut or shut down her phone lines. Reports to this effect over the past 48 hours are inaccurate and false."

Although I disagree with his actions, unless O'Keefe is telling a bold-faced lie, which is unlikely given that the government has the tapes he speaks of in his statement and that he looks forward to them being seen by the public, media organizations such as MSNBC and the AP have been making false claims and have committed journalistic malpractice.
