Shocking Stupidity: Public School Second Graders Made to Sing About Allah

Whether you want to call it shocking stupidity, incredible naivete, simple dhimitude, or all of these (more appropriate), having Christian second grade students in a public school sing a song in their "holiday" program declaring, "Allah is God," defies common sense. Even worse, during the Christian part of the program they were told to sing a song that was totally disrespectful and derogatory to Christ.

Here's what the children were told to sing:

"Allah is God, we recall at dawn,
Praying 'til night during Ramadan
At this joyful time we pray happiness for you,
Allah be with you all your life through."

And when it came time to perform the "Christian" part of Christmas, children were assigned to say:

"I didn't know there was a little boy at the manger. What child is this?
I'm not sure if there was a little boy or not.
Then why did you paint one on your nativity window?
I just thought if there was a little boy, I'd like to know exactly what he (sic) say.

According to Fox News Radio, the principal of Lantern Road Elementary School in Fishers, IN, said they were trying to teach inclusiveness through their holiday production. It included references to Christmas, Hanukkah, Ramadan, Las Posadas and Kwanzaa. However, no other deity, other than Allah, was referenced in the show.

Lest one forget,Ramadan has butkus to do with Christmas season and the fictional African feast Kwanzaa is a made-up celebration invented in the late 1960's by a deranged Communist, Ron Karenga, who served a prison sentence for torturing two women. (Released from prison, Karenga is now a professor of black studies), and that that the real religious tradition of American blacks is Christianity of the Baptist/Methodist variety, and that virtually no one actually celebrates Kwanzaa. However, apparently this is beyond the comprehension of the Mrs. Danielle Thompson, principal of Lantern Road Elementary who, in her naive, liberal-progressive thinking, is unable to grasp such realities. She merely wants to be all-inclusive. However, last time I checked, America is predominantly a Judeo-Christian nation (76.2% Jews and Christians) and, so far as Christmas is concerned, Christ is the reason for the season (the word Christmas originated as a compound meaning "Christ's Mass"). And having school children ignore the importance of Christ to the season, and having children praise "Allah" instead of God, as they are most certainly accustomed to, is going way beyond the pale.
