Pakistan Says U.S. Muslims May Have Planned Nuclear Attack

Topics: Political News and commentaries

More terrorism-related news involving the "M-word."

Fresh on the heels of the reports coming out on the attempted terrorist attacl on Flight 253, police in Pakistan report that the young Muslim men, who are from the Washington, D.C., area, were picked up in Pakistan earlier this month, had planned to attack a complex that houses nuclear power facilities.

We've now got American Muslims going to foreign countries to carryout jihad, foreign Muslims coming to American soil to conduct jihad, and American Muslims conducting jihad on our own soil. It seems that sooner or later even the Obama administration could see the pattern. Either Islam is the problem, Islam itself has a problem, or more likely the case, both. This seems especially true in light of the results of a 2008 undercover survey of more than 100 mosques and Islamic schools in America that exposed widespread radicalism, including the alarming finding that 75% of Islamic centers are hotbeds of anti-Western extremism, and more recently, our somewhat clueless (or at least naive) FBI reporting that 10% of America's 2000 mosques preach jihad. While its true we need moderate Muslims to work with us to identify the jihadists, how does one go about identifying a "moderate" Muslim with any degree of certainty? After all, even Pakistan seems to be having the same problem, and they're a Muslim country.
