Rasmussen: Support for Health Care Plan Falls to New Low

Topics: Political News and commentaries

The more the American public learns about Obamacare as proposed by congressional Democrats, the more they disapprove of it. In the latest Rasmussen national telephone survey - 56% of voters now oppose the health care plan and only 38% of voters now favor it. That's the lowest level of support measured for the plan in nearly two dozen tracking polls conducted since June.

[...] Half the survey was conducted before the Senate voted late Saturday to begin debate on its version of the legislation. Support for the plan was slightly lower in the half of the survey conducted after the Senate vote.

Prior to this, support for the plan had never fallen below 41%. Last week, support for the plan was at 47%. Two weeks ago, the effort was supported by 45% of voters.

Intensity remains stronger among those who oppose the push to change the nation's health care system: 21% Strongly Favor the plan while 43% are Strongly Opposed.

And not only is support for Obamacare tanking, Obama himself is fairing no better - with an overall approval of only 46% who say they at least somewhat approve of his performance., and fifty-three percent (53%) saying they now disapprove.

And adding fuel to the falling support for Obamacare, it appears that even the AP is waking up to the fact that Obamacare has major problems for consumers.

If only the Democrats actually gave a damn about what Americans want and what's good for the country, instead of being focused on what Jed Babbin aptly refers to as "their relentless pursuit of their hyperliberal agenda."
