Ft Hood jihadi's presentation on Islam (Updated - More Hasan Ties to People Under Investigation by FBI)

Hasan, the Army psychiatrist believed to have killed 13 people at Fort Hood, was supposed to discuss a medical topic during his presentation to senior Army doctors in June 2007. Instead, he lectured on Islam, suicide bombers and threats the military could encounter from Muslims conflicted about fighting wars in Muslim countries.
As Pamella Geller points out at Atlas Shrugs, the presentation below makes it crystal clear that the Fort Hood attack ""was a jihad martyrdom operation in full accord with classical Islam and jihad terrorism "theory" as sanctioned by even today's Muslim "luminaries" like the Sunni Pope Tantawi and the much more popular mainstream Muslim man on the street cleric Yusuf al Qaradawi let alone the canonized luminaries of classical Islam (with thanks to Andrew Bostom for the quote).""
I won't go as far as Pamella does in suggesting they should be brought up on conspiracy charges, but I agree with her that the authorities that knew about this jihadi in the military, in the CIA, and in the FBI - should be fired.
Meanwhile, Andrew Bast of Newsweek wins this week's "liberal progressive moronic Islamo-apologist award" by absurdly positing that it was a "military on the brink," the "stress" an uncaring U.S. military is forcing upon its members, that was at fault. In Bast's mind Hasan's murderous attack on his fellow soldiers had nothing to do with him being an ultra-devout Muslim extremist, steeped in hateful Islamofascism, embracing suicide bombers as heroes, and committed to jihad. Fortunately, TheRealityCheck.org rapidly debunks the ridiculous theory and aptly labels it for what it indeed is - an illegitimately use of this Hasan incident to push his own political ends, and just another unprincipled effort by a member of the Old Media to push the anti-war meme.
Unfortunately, there's far too many Basts out there, scrambling to manufacture excuses for Islamists like Hasan, all of them all too willing to overlook the mounting evidence that far too many Muslims place their allegiance to Islam over that of their country, and are all too susceptible to the ideology of Muslim extremism - Hasan being chief among them.
