Competing naratives of Obama and Palin
Topics: Political News and commentariesReading through "The Competing Narratives of Barry and Sarah," we find on one hand a politician with an entitlement mentality who did little actual work, used others, played the race card to his advantage, played the system, cruised through Illinois politics on skids greased by his Chicago cronies, and is a liar. On the other hand, one who worked hard, took advantage only of her own talents, came up within the system, and is refreshingly honest.
By the way, both played basketball. However, while Palin is leading her school to the state championship, Barry is a second stringer on a team whose wins and losses go unremarked.
Jack Cahill's piece is well worth taking the time to read it all.
