Topics: Political News and commentariesActually, the scariest part about this ad is is that it's pretty much right on the mark:
No wonder the Democrats rejected a GOP amendment that would have required a health overhaul bill to be available online for 72 hours before the committee votes.
Of course we have to keep in mind that as of yet there is no actual Baucus bill, just this 220 page Chairman's Mark. However, given what is known, the Cato Institute reports that, despite what CBO's carefully-hedged numbers suggest - widely touted by the media, the Baucus bill would cost more than $2 trillion and would significantly expand the deficit.
