Telegraph: Barack Obama furious at General Stanley McChrystal speech on Afghanistan

Topics: Political News and commentaries

This was apparently the reason General McChrystal was summoned to that "awkward" 25-minute face-to-face meeting on board Air Force One on the tarmac in Copenhagen. Else the General might have gone many more months before the president found time in his "busy" schedule to meet with the general he put in charge of Afghanistan.

And as Jennifer Rubin writes, Obama's relationship, if this report is to believed, isn't that much better with Gen. David Petraeus.

In the Obama administration, we are told, "General Petraeus's relationship with Mr. Obama is nothing like his bond with Mr. Bush." And we don't see Petraeus on the Hill or out explaining our mission to the American people. Instead he's laying low and fending off speculation that he might run for president in 2012.
Apparently our Narcissist-in-Chief/President Pantywaist is too busy trying to turn America into a socialist nanny state.

Question of the day: Are Petraeus and McChrystal headed for the undercarriage of the Obama bus?
