Politico Calls Palin co-author: Evangelical, partisan

Topics: Political News and commentaries

Two days after the release date of November 17 for Sarah Palin's book was announced, it's already become the top seller at both Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com, and the book will see 1.5 million copies on its first run:

A publishing industry source told POLITICO that they "cannot remember a non-fiction book taking off like this in the pre-order market. It became number one only a couple of hours after nothing more than a date announcement. It is truly unprecedented."

Much of the 400-page book is based on journals Palin kept during her vice-presidential run.

We're talking about a book that's not even out yet, and Politico's Ben Smith is already attacking her co-author as a staunch conservative, devoted evangelical Christian, and intensely partisan Republican from far, far outside the Beltway.

As though there's something wrong with being a conservative Christian Republican? Does Smith think Sarah Palin should have chosen someone from the far-left as her co-author?
