Eighteen women in UK diagnosed with breast cancer after faulty screening
Topics: Political News and commentariesIt's news that every women dreads: Eighteen women have been told they have breast cancer after a consultant working at Accrington Victoria Hospital conducted faulty mammograms. Fourteen of the women were told they had invasive breast cancer:
The women were given the devastating news after colleagues of the consultant, a senior radiologist working for East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust, raised concerns about his work.
