A Strong Economic Case Against the Baucus Bill
Topics:The Harvard economist Greg Mankiw has taken a look at some new data from the Congressional Budget Office and calculates the marginal tax rate that the bill piles onto middle-class families.
The results are astoundingly bad for the middle class, and the take-home message is that the bill is designed to increase the number of people dependent on government. Period.
It's economically disastrous for the middle class.
