Victor Davis Hanson on Obama's UN Speech: 'Bitter Harvests to Come'

Victor Davis Hanson writes:

If one were to sum up the Obama speech, it is the same old, same old formula: "I am a uniquely post-American fresh start; the era of Bush and our dreadful past is over; and because this is our moment, you, the world, owe me attention and support for my redefining America more to your tastes."

The problem with all this is endless:

As Hanson goes on to note, at what point will the American people sense that the Obama feel-good magic comes at the expense of long-term American interests? The answer is going to come sooner or later, but here's one thing we can be sure of: Our narcissist-in-Chief is never going to figure this out on his own - he's too absorbed in his own importance and image of himself.
