Victor Davis Hanson on Obama's UN Speech: 'Bitter Harvests to Come'
Topics: Political News and commentariesVictor Davis Hanson writes:
If one were to sum up the Obama speech, it is the same old, same old formula: "I am a uniquely post-American fresh start; the era of Bush and our dreadful past is over; and because this is our moment, you, the world, owe me attention and support for my redefining America more to your tastes."Read it all ...The problem with all this is endless:
As Hanson goes on to note, at what point will the American people sense that the Obama feel-good magic comes at the expense of long-term American interests? The answer is going to come sooner or later, but here's one thing we can be sure of: Our narcissist-in-Chief is never going to figure this out on his own - he's too absorbed in his own importance and image of himself.
