Rookie Obama in way over his head

Topics: Political News and commentaries

While the press may be "all agog over the President leading the UN security council which came out with extremely artfully worded resolution that endorses the eventual goal of "a world without nuclear weapons,"" Aaron Gee, writing at The American Spectator, is totally unimpressed, as should every thinking American. Clearly, as Gee suggests, Barack Obama is a rookie with an agenda, and he's way over his head:

[...] That document is so carefully wordsmithed that the 2 most obvious violators of the UN's non proliferation treaty Iran and North Korea weren't mentioned by name. A vaguely worded document from an dysfunctional international agency and the press tells us how much progress is being made. The facts tell a different story, a story of a rookie in way over his head.

[...] Obama thinks that he can reason with mad men, negotiate with tyrants, and create a nuclear free world. These are all rookie mistakes. While President Bush made rookie mistakes, he learned fast and stuck to his primary duty - protecting The United States of America and her citizens. Imperfect as he was, he wasn't under the illusion that he could change human nature. In the real world mad men need to be cornered and forced to give up their weapons, tyrants need to be deposed, and nuclear weapons coupled with the most advanced military in the world keep a freedom loving people safe from attack.

If Obama wants to play in the big leagues, he's going to have to shed his rookie preconceptions fast. Until then, he's just a rookie who talks a good game. The American people and freedom loving people the world over are still waiting for him to play a good game.

Read it all ...

So, is Barack Obama just a rookie making rookie mistakes, or is he a far-left, politician with a dangerously naive agenda, in way over his head? This video of Obama during the campaign provides a clue:

Yes, we know where Barack Obama standst, and it's not with the safety and security of America, its with his far-left, delusional agenda, as laid out in his egocentric, apologetic, and "overly critical of the United States" speech to the UN. As an example that responsible world leaders recognize this, even French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who has apparently had it with Obama's apology tour of weakness, urged Obama to come down to earth on Iran:

[...] Nicolas Sarkozy, the French president, came close to mocking his American counterpart for the good intentions, which Mr. Obama had heralded as an "historic" step towards nuclear abolition, even though it set no specific targets or fresh mandates.

"We live in a real world not a virtual world," the Frenchman told the 15-member council. "And the real world expects us to take decisions.

"President Obama dreams of a world without weapons ... but right in front of us two countries are doing the exact opposite.

"Iran since 2005 has flouted five security council resolutions. North Korea has been defying council resolutions since 1993.

"I support the extended hand of the Americans, but what good has proposals for dialogue brought the international community? More uranium enrichment and declarations by the leaders of Iran to wipe a UN member state off the map," he continued, referring to Israel.

The sharp-tongued French leader even implied that Mr. Obama's resolution 1887 had used up valuable diplomatic energy.

"If we have courage to impose sanctions together it will lend viability to our commitment to reduce our own weapons and to making a world without nuke weapons," he said.

Mr. Sarkozy has previously called the US president's disarmament crusade "naive".

When even the French president recognizes that the U.S. president is not only a naive rookie, but is dangerously in over his head, there leaves little reason not to believe Aaron Gee's point: We do indeed have a rookie with an agenda, and he's way over his head. What Gee fails to recognize in his article, is that the American people could wait till doomsday before Obama "plays a good game" because Obama is only interested in "his own game" which is based on the fantasy that madmen and tyrants can be negotiated with and trusted to give up their nuclear weapons.
