And as Erick points out, the issue clearly boils down to whether or not one believes the government should get to decide what "important matters" get discussed on radio and television:
What's the connection between Free Press and the Center for American Progress? Van Jones. He's on the Board of Free Press and a Fellow at the Center for American Progress. Both entities are intent on shutting down Glenn Beck. They also want to shut down Hannity, Rush, Levin, and every other conservative voice on radio.It's becoming more and more obvious that the socialists' and communists' objective is "revolution" and that they believe that they (via the Obama administration) need to control the media to accomplish it.
It's also obvious that Obama has already taken steps in that direction by appointing Mark Loyd as "FCC Diversity Officer" - the first of this title ever - whether "Czar" or "Officer." Loyd is "fundamentally opposed to any private ownership of media":
