Rethinking Barack Obama (Is Barack Obama an evil man?)

Topics: Political News and commentaries

Roger F. Gay writes that he once thought Barack Obama to be an evil man. After his considerable, must-read, discussion on the matter, his take-home message is:

Whether or not forcing the cost of mandatory health insurance on the public is properly labeled a "tax" or not is a trivial matter. A rose, or its fertilizer, smells the same regardless of the name you choose. Much more important is that Barack Obama plans - yes, knowingly and intentionally - to make our very existence a sufficient basis for exercising arbitrary political control. He plans to overthrow Constitutional rule once and for all. This is by any reasonable definition, a "High Crime" against the United States of America. It is a coup.

I was right the first time. Barack Obama is an evil man.

Take the time to read it all...

I hate to say it, but after reading Gay's discussion, I'm inclined to agree with him. At the very least, Barack Obama's objectives and agenda that would have the net effect of giving the government control over almost every aspect of our lives - essentially making us all wards of the state, are indeed evil. And as such, Obama's agenda must be resisted.

As William Jacobson notes over at Legal Insurrection: "This is the fight of our lives for the benefit not of ourselves, but of future generations."

... Will our children and our children's children have the freedom to make their own way in life, or will we relegate them to being beggars at the alter of government handouts?

This time, it really is all about the children, and our own legacy.

Will we be honored as the generation which finally said no to the welfare state and thereby saved the best economic and political system on earth, or will we be cursed by our descendants as the generation which gave it all away? (emphasis mine)

The choice is ours, for now, at least until we allow Barack Obama and the liberal Democrats to take control over not only our lives, but also for the lives of generations to come.
