Pastor on Fox: "When we look at President Obama, is there a culture of hostility toward expression of faith in the public square - particularly Christian"
Topics: Political News and commentariesAs Eric Erickson notes at RedFor 42 years the Pentagon has carried out the military fly over, that is until now. Things have changed in Barack Obama's America, the military is no longer allowed to do such things if the group requesting the fly over is Christian oriented.
The God and Country Rally is a non-denominational rally that supports American soldiers. The message from the Pentagon stated that the denial of the request was because the event was religious, although it was not. It has been a long-honored rally that pays tribute to our nation's troops, not any one religion.
As to the real reason, a pastor explains on Fox News: "When we look at President Obama, we have to ask ourselves if there a culture of hostility toward expression of faith in the public square - particularly Christian"
The message from the Pentagon stated that the denial of the request was because the event was religious, although it was not. It has been a long-honored rally that pays tribute to our nation's troops, not any one religion. However, when it suits Obama's purpose to push his agenda, he has no problem with collaborating with Christians and strong-arming them.
Help me out here, I'm a bit confused. It's not okay for the military to continue a 42-year tradition of providing a fly-over for the God and Country Rally which is non-denominational, but it is perfectly okay for President Obama, who has yet to chose a church for himself since the Reverend Wright affair, to see no irony in seeking God for his own political ends.
Oh well, just call it Obama's audacity of hypocrisy!
