WaPo "selling access" to Obama administration officials, members of Congress, and the paper's own reporters and editors

Is this even legal? How can the Washington Post sell access to what they refer to as "those powerful few"?

And to think that I thought Obama and Congress were already bought and paid for. Now it appears that they and the WaPo are taking it up to a whole new level of corruption in politics and journalism.
