Does our Dictator-in-Chief really intend to by-pass constitutionally-required senate ratification of a treaty?
Topics: Political News and commentariesIn yet another contrived emergency to get around constitutional requirements and legislative norms, it indeed appears that he has every intention of doing so - this time the "emergency" is ratification of a U.S.- Russian arms treaty.
Article II, Section 2, of the U.S. Constitution states:
He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; ...And this is suppose to apply even to Barack Obama.
