Salameh Nematt on Arab Press Reaction to Obama's Speech

Topics: Middle East News and Perspectives, Political News and commentaries

Michael Rubin suggests that when it comes to analysis of Arab press and public opinion, Salameh Nematt is the best. And indeed, I find Nematt's round-up to be, as Rubin notes, a far broader take (much of it surprising) of Arab reaction than the instant (and slanted pro-Obama ) analysis provided by some U.S.-based media outlets:

Reaction to Obama's Cairo speech ranged from angry comparisons to Bush, praise for his balanced approach--and accusations that he's an apostate (not surprising to me).
