Media ignores traditional marriage rallies

Nothing to see here, just move along, as thousands rally for traditional marriage in Albany, New York.

That appears to be the media's attitude toward reporting traditional marriage rallies.

A Google search of the words marriage rally in New York June 9 turns up many hits on the story. But almost all of them are from blogs as opposed to traditional media sources, though the Village Voice covered the May rally in Manhattan.

Can you imagine the media failing to report a gay marriage rally? Never happen!

Interestingly, mainstream media critics and ombudsmen from prominent newspapers actually reached a consensus as far back as 2004: News media have a pro-gay bias.

And it has only gotten worse (pdf) since then.

"Fair and balanced" reporting is unnecessary when it conflicts with the media's pro-gay and (natural) anti-family bias.
