'Every aspect of our lives'
Topics: Political News and commentariesYou really can't make this stuff up - if it wasn't so ridiculous, we'd be crying over this example of the nanny state truly having run amok.
Nancy Pelosi essentially said it in China, and the Democrats mean to prove it. Take, for example, the Illinois Senate, that voted 51-4 last week to slap controls on bowling shoes. I kid you not!
Indeed, the nanny state is increasing its power over us each passing day, with what control over us not being seized at the federal level being picked up at the state level, particularly in Illinois where Obama learned his politics. When the senate of a state gets down to the level of passing laws on bowling shoes, shouldn't we all sit up and take notice that perhaps, just perhaps, the government does indeed intend to control every aspect of our lives and shouldn't we begin letting our politicians know we won't tolerate it?
