Democrat Secretary of State of Nevada on ACORN Fraud: Over Half the Votes in Vegas Could Be Fraudulent

Topics: Political News and commentaries

The 2008 election is indeed over and Obama won, but as Robert Bentley posits at Conservartie for Cange, did he win fairly?

There are new allegations coming out of Nevada, that might suggest that over half of the votes in Las Vegas could be fraudulent. This might have turned the state to Obama, and John McCain should have won the state.

The Secretary of State of Nevada, a Democrat, believes the votes might have been a fraud, and he is prosecuting. Here is a video of his interview on Fox News, along with a former ACORN worker who is critical of the organization:

As Bentley notes in his post, even if this allegation is true, and it turns out John McCain would have won the state had ACORN, the liberal "community organizing" group that deployed thousands of get-out-the-vote workers last election, not fraudulently registered voters and votes, it still wouldn't wouldn't have tipped the election away from Obama. However, just how widespread ACORN fraud was in other states and to what degree their actions affected the results remains a troubling question.

Interestingly, as John Fund points out in his piece titled, "More Acorn Voter Fraud Comes to Light," congressional Democrats still want the group to be eligible for federal money. And needless to say, as Fund notes in his piece, "Acorn's relationship to the Obama campaign is a matter of public record." There's virtually no degree of separation between the two:

Anita MonCrief, an Acorn whistleblower, says the problems run deep. Ms. MonCrief worked at Project Vote, an Acorn affiliate, in late 2007. She says its development director, Karen Gillette, told her she had direct contact with the Obama campaign and also told her to call Obama donors who had maxed out on donations to the candidate but who could contribute to Acorn.
