Miss Ericson's fallacious logic was, that since Obama has been "elected" by the "Populist Rabble" and the blame/hate-America Democrats have seized control of both Houses of Congress, that then it was Lt. Easterling's "duty" not to "dissent" from Obama and his puppet Congress, but to blindly support and uphold them:

"[...] all about procedure. O.K? This country is based on rules. That's what you are fighting for, the rule of law!"

Before I go any further, I would like to state that Lt. Easterling joined the army when he was 40 years old after the Army upped the enlistment age. Prior to that Mr. Easterling had been a contractor working in Iraq:

"I chose to work to support my troops and then left that lucrative position when the Army raised its maximum enlistment age to 40. Upon completion of basic training, I entered Officer Candidate School and commissioned as a 2LT in August 2007. After completing the subsequent basic officer leadership courses, I was assigned to Ft. Knox and shortly thereafter deployed to Baghdad, Iraq.

During the 2008 Presidential Elections, Easterling joined other citizens who have formed a coalition to bring legal action on the matter that will force President Obama to reveal his original birth certificate and records that will clear him for eligibility.

Easterling's particular group he is working with is headed by Orly Taitz of the "Defend Our Freedom" organization.

Though it is admirable that Miss Ericson so cherishes our "Democratic Processes" and "Rule of Law," yet it is very pertinent to ask what happens when proto-communist, unscrupulous, enemies of America, "Foreign and Domestic" - and all America has stood for, for over two hundred years, and of our "Way of Life" - take advantage of those very same lofty standards... in order to creep themselves into power by "Populist Fiat" (as in these elections?), and impose upon us their totalitarian, materialistic, socialistic, Marxist "World-View"...so alien to our Nation and Spirit of Individualism and Independence?

What about when that "Rule of Law" is turned on its very head and is insidiously manipulated to destroy the checks and balances that safeguard our democracy and all that "High and Lofty" Rule of Law it is supposed to uphold - let us say hypothetically (as many of us opine) by radical, Marxist, subversive, ideologues, who have bidden their time even as they infiltrated every power niche in our society to surreptitiously achieve their ulterior political agendas to take over our government and institutions - in order to radically change and or destroy the present societal order and the very fabric of America, and impose their twisted, collectivist, social-engineering, totalitarian ideologies; even as many of us are deeply concerned is the underlying goal of most of those now in unfettered control of our Supreme Court, Congress, Senate, and the White House?

Hasn't history repeatedly taught us that, that "Rule of Law" and "Democratic Process" you quote have often been manipulated in the past by megalomaniacs without scruples and partisan ideologues to the detriment of Nations and the sorrow of humanity?

Was not Hitler elected by the German people in an electoral landslide - a veritable "Mandate" - in 1933, and with the populist support, euphoric acclamation, and pseudo-messianic adulation of most of the German People (such as that of Obama by the American electorate?) turn the "Rule of Law" and the "Democratic Processes" of the Weimar Republic into the most horrifying nightmare humanity has seen to date, culminating in the mass extermination of millions of people and the Holocaust?

When a German Soldier, failing to follow his conscience, herded innocent Jews into cattle cars and sent them to be inhumanely exterminated like vermin in the gas chambers of the Concentration Camps, HE WAS OBEYING THE "RULE OF LAW" AND "PROCESS" OF THE THIRD REICH!

When Fidel Castro's Regime sentences an innocent Cuban dissident to 30 years in prison and or to be shot by "PAREDON" before a firing squad - simply for being a "COUNTER-REVOLUTIONARY" who opposes his tyranny - the Castro government uses the argument the action is not only a "LEGALLY LEGITIMATE" "PROCESS" but that the barbaric punishment is actually "WARRANTED" by the "RULE OF LAW" as prescribed in the "REVOLUTIONARY LEGISLATION" made into law by Castro's puppet Cuban Congress!

Even today Venezuelan tin-pot dictator, Hugo Chavez, scuffs the Venezuelan Constitution, is daily further eroding civil liberties and human rights in Venezuela, and by enacting the "Rule of Law" of legislation that literally makes him "PRESIDENTE" for life - with the help of his partisan Congress and the euphoric populist support, and pseudo-messianic adulation, of the Venezuelan People - is ever tightening his Marxist totalitarian gauntlet upon Venezuela!

The "Democratic Process" and the "Rule of Law" is only a check and balance and a deterrent amongst a law-abiding, conscionable, people. Unfortunately, it also has often been misused in the past as a prelude to their enslavement, as history teaches us...hence, in the wisdom of our Founding Fathers, the Second Amendment of our Constitution!

Was the loyalty of conscientious Weimar German soldiers to Germany or to the "Fuhrer"? In like manner the question rather becomes whether Lt Scott Easterling should blindly follow Obama and those hate-America, proto-Marxist radicals, now in power in our Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Branches - even though he, as many other Americans do, think Obama a fraud and an usurper - or whether his loyalty is rather not to individuals, but to our Constitution, to our Institutions, and to our Nation?

The disturbing question rather becomes - if such as Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro, and or Hitler, ever are democratically elected and come to power in America and with the help of a puppet legislative body appoint themselves "President for Life" like Hugo Chavez, begin to "imprison and or execute dissidents" like Fidel, or start "packing us into cattle cars going somewhere" like Hitler (no doubt all of it justified with a new accommodating "Rule of Law" and with new "Processes") - whether, as Miss Ericson proposes, our Armed Forces should follow blindly and leave their consciences in their lockers (as the Weimar Military did in Germany?), or should they rather be loyal to our Constitution, our Republic, and, even as America's greatest General, General Robert E. Lee, conscientiously proclaimed, be loyal to their communities, their neighbors, and their loved ones....

The fate and future of America, indeed of the world, hangs in the balance!
