Herald Tribune and NYT confirm: 'Operation Rushbo ''explicitly authorized'' by White House'

Okay, so they only confirmed that "Operaton Rushbo" was explicitly a White House operation, but why else would the WH do it if not to distract from their disastrous ideology-based economic policies?
