Must see video: The Truth about Teachers Unions

A new video shows teachers describing how teachers unions negatively affect education, in their own words.

Via Red County, "this compelling video shows teachers telling you and me how teachers unions protect bad teachers, block educational reforms, and use union monies to promote causes that are so radical that even teachers union members do not support them":



According to Teacher'sUnionExposed.com there is no disputing that America's teachers unions -- in particular, the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers -- are the most organized and powerful voices in education politics. According to the site, there are groups of people that care more deeply about public schools (parents, most notably) but they lack the coordination and vast resources that teachers unions have at their disposal.

Having gone through the experience of having children attend public schools, and then changing them to private schools for the duration of their education, I can't help but agree with the points made in the video and that the parents must, for the sake of our children, take back the education system from the influence of the teacher's unions. This is all the more important given the election of Barack Obama and his history of being a strong proponent of the Saul Alinsky agenda and associating with and promoting such people as Willian Ayers who was more interested in transforming Chicago's schools into vehicles for socialist revolution than in reading scores, and sought to use Annenberg's grant to fund his dream of radicalizing both teachers and students.
