Islamists allowed to hang anti-Christian banner denouncing Christ's diety in front of the Basilica of the Annunciation (Updated)

Topics: Understanding Islam
AllahHasNoSonBanner.jpg It's obviously okay to challenge Christianity's most elemental belief at the heart of Christianity with two large provocative banners contradicting the New Testament proclamation that Jesus is the "only begotten" of God, however, as STACLU points out, "can you imagine what would happen if a similar banner that challenges an elemental Muslim belief was raised near Mecca, Medina, or the Dome of the Rock?"

This begs the question of just how long the Western world will continue to remain blind to Islam's intolerance and its threat to democracy, and the clear path toward destruction that its political correctness is rapidly taking it.

As the noted blogger Fjordman has noted, unless liberty regressed during the past two hundred years, how is it possible that Immanuel Kant, who lived in a German state without liberal democracy, could criticize basic aspects of religion in the 18th century (Christianity), while in the West of the 21st century there are social and legal consequences for criticizing other religions and cultures (most particulary - Islam)? The problem, of course, is Islam itself, of which Fjordman writes:
Islam is toxic to a democratic society for several reasons, which I will explore later. One is the possibility of physical attack against anybody who criticizes the Islamic agenda. The fear thus engendered destroys any possibility of a free, civil public discourse. Another is the resentment generated by Muslim demands for separate laws and "special treatment," demands which are driven by an inherent sense of entitlement. Finally, there is the harassment of non-Muslims, even those who do not criticize Islam. This aggressive behavior is always part and parcel of Jihad.
That this is the case, juxtaposed with what we already see of Islam, points directly to not only what Islam has already wrought upon the free world - but that it is a mere warm-up of the disaster that is to come if we continue to submit when we should be taking a stand.

In the Christian world, the word 'peace' has a certain meaning, but among Islamists, "peace" can only be attained once the world has surrendered to Islam. They have no intention whatsoever of assimilating into the modern world, rather having the Western world forced into living under their archaic laws and beliefs. Just how long the Western world is going to continue to tolerate the intolerance and confrontational nature of a religion that continues to live in the middle ages and is less miscible with the modern world than oil is with water, remains to be seen. Of certainty is the fact that either Christians around the world stand up and demand a stop to the world's downward slide into Islam, or they should be fully prepared to face the terrible alternative.
