Construction of 7 new refineries moves ahead

While here in the U.S. we haven't seen a new oil refinery in 30 years. As recently as June of this year, plans by ConocoPhillips to expand its refinery in Roxana, Illinois were sidelined when an appeal board of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency upheld a challenge to the air permit required for the project. Fortunately for Iran, they don't have to put up with the likes of the U.S. EPA.
