Is it just me, or does anyone else find it extremely ironic that we just elected the most far-left, radical, liberal, Marxist, one can find on the political scene - along with a far-left, liberal, socialist Congress, and put them in charge of a faltering economy that those same far-left, liberal, socialist members of Congress themselves created in the first place?

No, it's not just you, Richard.
The Real Estate Redistribution plan (CRA, FNMA, FMAC) of the far left almost wrecked the entire economic world; now they want to try an expanded, more generalized wealth redistribution plan, and finish the job. But with a much higher human death toll.

Thanks, Chillguy33, for cheering me up. I just thought I was depressed before, but now, with the additional perspective, I know now that it's okay to feel a hell of a lot worse.

I pity you. All I see in your message is fear. Rather than bitch, point fingers, and generally exult in what you consider to be the complete disintegration of goodness, choose to do something about it. Volunteer to teach, do mission work here or abroad, hell, go sell "Palin in 2012" flags from the trunk of your car, but just stop contributing to the negative B.S. It is not helpful to anyone. It especially is not helpful to the country you claim to love.
Be the change you wish to see in the world.

Ahhh, great. A troll shows up on scene to tell a United States Marine who did 3 tours in Vietnam who has a son who volunteered 5 times to go to Iraq and Afghanistan - did so - and survived, and who has, between himself and his son, has started 4 successful companies that have provide jobs for hundreds of Americans, what he should do to serve his country.
I love it. This, truly, is America, idiots and all. Thank you, Jennifer, for making my day, and helping me to understand what I need to do to serve my country better. So instead of creating jobs for people like you and your family and relatives, I think I'll just go do a reverse John Galt and live off my government with the rest of the looters, takers, and moochers.
