Sen. Bingaman (D-N.M.): Fairness Doctrine Would Help Radio Reach 'Higher Calling'
Topics: Political News and commentariesClearly, "a stunning on-air admission of his desire to re-regulate radio and infringe on free speech ..."
As Bill Dupray over at The Patriot Room suggests, (edit - one of) the ugliest, darkest aspect of an Obama win is government suppression of free speech. It is Stalinist - pure and simple:
Keep in mind that the Fairness Doctrine, by it's very nature, is anti-capitalist, government controlled media. Senator Shit-for-Brains flat out says that it doesn't matter if there is no market for liberal talk radio, stations should be required to carry liberal hosts, because they will add the government's approved message. There should be no such thing in the United States as a government-approved message, but that is what they believe and want to do.

I've added a link to your post from BlogWatch: Fairness Doctrine.
Because - This issue is not getting much attention. But if they move forward with it many of the issues we are talking about today will never see the light of day.
