Biden Also Wrong on Spain and Israel

Topics: Political News and commentaries

According to Jim Geraghty's count, Biden's now up to 24 lies/errors/hallucinations in last night debate. Last night Biden charged that McCain would not meet with the government of Spain, but he didn't say that at all. What McCain did say was that he might not have a meeting with Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luiz Rodriguez Zapatero. As Geraghty points out , considering Zapatero's past America-bashing on the Spanish campaign trail when it's politically convenient, that's an entirely reasonable position for an American president to have.

And as for Biden's statement during the debate that "Nobody in the Senate has been a better friend to Israel than Joe Biden," Geraghty points out that's a rather audacious statement coming from a man who, according to Israeli leaders, threatened a total cutoff of aid in 1982.

I'm sure there's more to come on Biden's debate "lies, errors, and hallucinations"; However, I keep waiting for a detailed list of Obama's "lies, errors, and hallucinations" to be listed at one source and be propagated. As for the chances of such a list getting any attention from the mainstream media, such a thought is a exercise in futility because as we all know that would never happen.

In the way of a side bar it's beginning to look as though for all Biden's "windedness" during the debate in which he expounded ad-nauseum on foreign affairs and domestic politics, a great deal of what he said was made-up as he went along, or planned from the outset to do what the Obama campaign has done so much of so far which is to just say whatever the hell sounds good and furthers their agenda, and to hell with whether or not it has any relevance to fact. This is, after all, what Obama was trained to do - it's what he learned from his associations with communists, socialists and especially, from studiously adopting everything he learned from Ayers and Saul Alinsky's teachings - and applying them.
