'With all eyes on the Wall Street bailout, the U.S. House quietly passed a spending bill full of pork worth $630 billion'
Topics: Political News and commentariesJamie Dixon over at WorldMag.com alerts us to the disturbing news that while congressional leaders wrangled over the details of a federal bailout for Wall Street that could cost taxpayers an extraordinary $700 billion, the U.S House has quietly passed an omnibus-spending bill for nearly the same amount and the Senate is expected to pass the $630 billion measure by week's end. The measure includes more than $6.6 billion in pork-barrel spending.
I can't help but wonder just who the politicians in Washington think they work for; one thing certain, it's not U.S. taxpayers when they spent $6.6 Billion (big "B") in pork.
