This Trully Incredible Video Sends 'Chills Down The Spine' Of Everyone That Believes In Free Speech (Obama campaign and it's 'truth squad' attacks free speech and gets Missouri officials to participate) (Updated)

Topics: Political News and commentaries

What is going on in Missouri? What happened to free speech? Who do the the media and law enforcement officers in the video think they are that they can obliterate free speech and "assist Obama's campaign in making tacit threats to the public in general and McCain supporters in particular"?

Watch this video and you get the feeling that Stalin has just taken over Missouri law enforcement and Missouri public officials (hat tip - Ace)
:

From our previous post on Obama's goons and their incredible attack on free speech (and by the way, the ads that have been the main focus of their attacks in Ohio and Pennsylvania are absolutely true - here's the text that the Obama campaign sent the Missouri officials): Missouri governor goes nuclear on Obama for using prosecutors on campaign "truth squad":

This abuse of the law for intimidation insults the most sacred principles and ideals of Jefferson. I can think of nothing more offensive to Jefferson's thinking than using the power of the state to deprive Americans of their civil rights. The only conceivable purpose of Messrs. McCulloch, Obama and the others is to frighten people away from expressing themselves, to chill free and open debate, to suppress support and donations to conservative organizations targeted by this anti-civil rights, to strangle criticism of Mr. Obama, to suppress ads about his support of higher taxes, and to choke out criticism on television, radio, the Internet, blogs, e-mail and daily conversation about the election.
And as we have also previously noted, "Who would ever have believed that this kind of thing could happen in America? Barack Obama's brand of politics, behind his empty rhetoric of compromise and reason, has brought the old Soviet Union to America, and it's coming to a neighborhood near you if it isn't already there."

Referring to the above video, Ace points out just how happy the media and law enforcement officers are to assist Obama's campaign in making tacit threats to the public in general and McCain supporters in particular, and further notes:

Note the little O campaign sticker in the window behind the people being, erm, 'interviewed,' for lack of a better word. They had to make sure that showed, since this is all really just a campaign commercial.

And look at how chirpy and uninquisitive the newsmen are in that video.

How can you be a journalist and have no follow-up questions for public employees who call themselves 'The Truth Squad?'

Wouldn't a journalist pretty much think that's HIS job? This curious lack of interest signals to me that the media doesn't mind if the State becomes the dispenser of truth in Obamaland.

The Truth Squad is obviously a device specifically designed to stifle any criticism of Captain Bullshit through the threat of legal harassment. The explicit message is to shut up. The implicit message is that there is a state organ (a team of county prosecutors and sheriffs!) devoted to making sure you shut up.

This is what 'a chill wind' really feels like.

Ace also points out that while both sides have so-called "Truth Squads" in numerous states under varying titles, only the Obama campaign have gone to the extent of shutting down free speech and, as mentioned in the original piece, somehow gotten law enforcement officers to act in their behalf - which is most definitely "what gives most people the willies." Keep in mind that this is not the first instance of Obama's camp attempting to and/or succeeding in shutting down free speech. Let's not forget about: Obama's e-mail to supporters about WGN-AM's airing of Stanley Kurtz on-air forum (Gestapo tactic to silence free speech)

I can't help but wonder why all of this hasn't showed up on at least Fox.

If you wonder where all this will go if this man ends up in the White House, read "The Gulag Archipelago".
