The Sarah Palin Effect (Image)
Topics: Political News and commentariesOften a picture is worth a thousand words, and so it is here, as this image of John McCain and Sarah Palin in Colorado shows the effect of having Sarah Palin on the ticket and a focused McCain campaign.
The video is here ...
We can all remember when John McCain struggled to get a few hundred people to show up to hear him speak.
From the NYT - Sarah Palin rocks the crowds:
[,,,] Gov. Sarah Palin, Senator John McCain's new running mate, has been rocking Republican crowds with her mocking digs at Senator Barack Obama and his campaign's central theme of "change.''[...] Ms. Palin was speaking at an airport rally that drew thousands of wildly enthusiastic people in Colorado Springs, rock solid Republican territory, where the crowd waved a sea of American flags and chanted "Sarah Palin, Sarah Palin.'' Mr. McCain and Ms. Palin appeared to the booming sound of Elvis Presley's "A Little Less Conversation,'' an anthem of the 2004 Bush reelection campaign, and roused the crowd with promises, as Ms. Palin put it, to "shake things up'' in Washington.
Meanwhile, the AP either doesn't "get it" or is purposefully denigrating John McCain (the latter being the most likely): McCain-Palin becoming Palin-McCain?

Very telling of the difference between McCain and Obama is the chants from the crowds. What you here at McCain camps is (along with a few "Sarahs.") predominantly "USA, USA, USA, etc." You already know what is chanted at an Obama rally.

As we all know here in the US, Obama will say anything to get elected. He may not do anything...but he will say "anything".
