Biden tells Israel, accept Iran's bomb

Topics: Political News and commentaries

In a statement that will surely strain whatever enthusiasm exists for Obama among Jewish voters, Democratic vice-presidential candidate Joe Biden was quoted Monday as telling senior Israeli officials behind closed doors that the Jewish state will have to reconcile itself to a nuclear Iran:

In the unsourced report, Army Radio also quoted Biden as saying that he opposed "opening a additional military and diplomatic front."

Biden, chairman of the powerful Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has long been considered strongly pro-Israel. His nomination as Barack Obama's running mate had been expected to shore up the Democrats' strength with U.S. Jewish voters.

Forget the fact that Biden's position isn't exactly a good move for the Obama campaign and completely ignores the threat of a nuclear Iran, more importantly, the position is a disaster for the West. Iran has made it perfectly clear that it intends to Islamicize the West or destroy it and if he had to use nukes to do it does anyone doubt that he would?
