Perhaps A 'Not-So-Crazy' Crazy Prediction
Topics: Political News and commentariesCan you picture this scenario...
One month from now, the Palin pick has proven a bonanza for the McCain campaign. A large chunk of Hillary's 18 million voters have been won over. Conservatives are unified and energized, and the previously-undiscovered "Maxim magazine vote" is suddenly giving McCain large margins among young males.Hmmmm..., I certainly wouldn't bet against it.Joe Biden will disappear from the campaign trail, and we will later learn it was to see a doctor. A previously-undiscovered, vaguely ominous health issue will be discovered, and Biden will sadly announce that he cannot continue as Obama's running mate. With a sudden need for a new one, Obama will turn... to Hillary Clinton.
Call it the Torricelli gambit.

You're onto something with Obama's young male vote ... at least the straight ones ;)

Yes on the young straight males, but also on old guys like me too. This woman is easy on the eyes and a real hoot to listen to. I can see why her nickname is barracuda.

Biden might have other problems emerging:

Harry, as much as I would like to see Biden in a pickle, I don't see how his chair having a problem relates to him, really.

Richard:
The way I read the article, the Biden NH chair was a four-count felon prior to representing Biden. While representing Biden, the NH chair disregarded a court order.
Now, in and of itself, this action does not implicate Joe Biden. However, one must question Joe Biden's judgment in allowing such an individual, displaying little respect for the law, to become a lead state-representative in a national election.
The problem emerging for Joe Biden reflects upon his judgment. How many other felons, like this NH chair, has Joe Biden empowered? Furthermore, a similar reflection smears Barry Obama for entrusting Joe Biden. If we recall the questionable activities/relationships of Barry Obama with a prominent Weatherman terrorist and a Chicago slum lord (Rezko), the enlistment of felons into his political machine eases the Obama campaign into the Dark Side of the American social & political scene.
Many voters have doubts about Obama's capability. The more felons emerge in his ranks, the more doubts will swamp his campaign. Culpable inefficiency dictates that Biden's felon become Obama's felon, because Obama elevate Biden to his second in command. If Joe Biden's judgment comes into question, the Obama's judgment comes into question. Obama can ill-afford to add more fuel to the fire of doubt in his credibility.
To me, this is how Joe Biden affects the Obama-Biden ticket.
