Pawlenty? Is this for real? (Updated and Bumped)
Topics: Political News and commentariesIs this a wild guess or does "The Real Democratic Party" know something the rest of us don't (which isn't hard to do) ??? Interestingly, the blog post is dated August 28, 2008 at 12:53 pm - more than 3 hours from now.
Does anyone have any inkling as to which? My hopeful guess is that it's a wild guess; If McCain chooses a woman, the election's over, if Pawlenty, the GOP has a serious tough road ahead.
If McCain doesn't (or didn't) pick Hutchinson or Palin, he's nuts.
Update: Just checked Intrade and Pawlenty has come up 5.3 in the last 2 hours - now just behind Romney. Maybe a fluke, maybe not.
Update2; The Minority Report - BREAKING: Maverick has selected his Goose:
Politico is reporting that the winner of Maverick's VP selection lottery will be notified later today"My gut tells me it will be Pawlenty" - unfortunately, it's looking more and more like it's Pawlenty. Bad move McCain, really dumb.
Quote:Speculation is increasingly centered on former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, although Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman remains an option and is in the final mix.
My gut tells me it will be Pawlenty.
Update: As of 0951 Intrade has Romney up 19.0 and Pawlenty up 5.8 - so it looks like the bets are on one of the two. Last time I checked, neither of these two ho-hums are female!
Update: Carlos at Let's Get It Right notes that the URL has been changed to http://www.johnmccainvp.com/
Update: Fox News is reporting that McCain hasn't made up his mind yet, which I doubt. In any event, at this point it still could be any of a number of the potentials bantered about over the last few weeks. Still, at 11:22 a.m., Intrade shows Romney having climbed +24.0 and Pawlenty down 2.2. Hutchinson is way down 10.2 and Palin up a fraction. So it's still looking like a white male.

Richard, I ran across that and posted it last evening on my blog.
It used to be McCainPalin.com (who I support by the way), now they altered the url automatically, as you see, with the McCain donation banner on top...
Do you think its real or someone speculating, in order to sell the site???
McCainPawlenty.com, remains the same, at least as of last evening...I emailed that generic site, but got no response.

Carlos, I have no clue. But Intrade's squirrelly right now - the women have moved way down and all of a sudden Romney and Pawlenty are up, with Romney having increased by 6.0 in the last hour.
The site could be anything - and what makes it really odd is the time of the post.
For me, it's looking rather disappointing so far.

I whole heartedly agree that if he picks a woman, it's over, if any man, there's a long, hard road ahead. What is this guy thinking about choosing Pawlenty, if he does?
