Obama's Theme Song should be 'the Great Pretender'Topics: Political News and commentaries
"The Great Pretender" is a popular song recorded by The Platters and released as a single early in November, 1955. Here we are in 2008, and along has come a politician who perfectly matches the label. The song begins with what's more or less the point of the song, and goes like this - minus my small changes to apply to Obama:
Oh yes, I'm the Great Pretender, pretending that I'mOkay, so it doesn't rhyme - I'm not a poet or song writer, but you should be able to catch my drift from it. Obama began to pretend he was a centrist the moment he won the primaries, and has ever since committed lie after lie after lie, and done so without the slightest hesitation. However, regardless of what he says now, one needs to look to what he has said and written before the end of the primaries, to really know the truth of his beliefs and agenda.
doing wellnot a Marxist.
My agenda is such, I pretend so much. I'm radical, but so few can tell .
Today, David Freddoso's, "Obama Repudiates the Moderates - The tiny leftist tail that wagged the dog in 2003, offers a story "about whose support Obama values, and whose support he is willing to repudiate in order to preserve a veneer of ideological purity." It sheds some light on both the darkness of his character and the degree to which he is willing to distort facts and lie about his true beliefs, about what has said before, and about what he has done and is doing.
So before you buy the idea that Obama is a centrist, it is worth your time to read a story about whose support Obama values, and whose support he is willing to repudiate in order to preserve a veneer of ideological purity ...
