Does Factual Data Matter Matter At All To The Global Warming Nutjobs?
Topics: Climate ChangeApparently not. The global non-warming deniers have a strong psychological need to believe (their new-found religion) that global warming is happening, regardless of data to the contrary.

Richard:
I believe that the problem that we are encountering with the Global Warming mob is replicating and rippling throughout our society. The Akaka Bill thread confronts a similar problem.
To me, the unbridled adventures of our common law legal profession has unleashed a debate-like atmosphere that has overwhelmed truth as irrelevant and taking a back-seat to rhetorical skills. In a sense, one could envision a renaissance (in epidemic proportions) of the negative aspects of Sophism.

Succinctly, the truth is what I debate it to be! Truth becomes a debate result!
