Democrats Oppose American Independence From Foreign Oil And Defend Their Position With Illogical Spin And Same Old Party Talking Points

The Democratic Party has responded to President Bush's rational, logical, proposal to solve our nation's energy problems with their usual illogical, all-spin-no-logic talking points; it's just more of the same old "Bush's failed policy" BS: Bush-McCain Energy Plan: Wrong on National Security; Wrong on Economic Security

Are these people totally incapable of logical, rational, thought based upon facts and current conditions, and a logical, rational analysis of risk/benefit ratios?

China is drilling for oil closer to South Florida than American companies are allowed to; outer Continental Shelf drilling was supported by 81 percent of Republicans and opposed by 83 percent of House Democrats; the proposed drilling in Alaska was supported by 91 percent of Republicans and opposed by 86 percent of House Democrats; new refinery capacity was supported by 97 percent Republicans and opposed by 96 percent of House Democrats; oil shale exploration containing more than a trillion barrels of oil was supported by 90 percent Republicans and opposed by 86 percent of House Democrats; coal-to-liquid containing stupendous oil equivalents was supported by 97 percent of Republicans and opposed by 78 percent of House Democrats; an average of 86 percent of House Democrats were and are against lowering the price of gasoline, diesel fuel, home heating oil and cost of goods.....while 90 percent of Republicans, beginning in the 70s, attempted to provide long-short range energy/consumer plans to stabilize and keep under control...today's Democratic "depression bound" soaring costs of survival.

And what are the Democrats doing about it now? Giving us more of the same old tired talking points!
