Welfare, "Fatherlessness", And The Destruction Of The Family Unit In The Black Community

In the recent post here on Hyscience: "On black issues, Obama plays the white card", the following quote brought me some bitter memories to mind, that well illustrate the insidiousness of the left's "Welfare State" and how it has mired the black community for forty years and virtually destroyed the black family unit:

"Fatherlessness, not white racism, is arguably the single greatest influence in preventing blacks' rise to social and cultural parity with whites."

That "Fatherlessness" in the black community has been mostly institutionalized by the "Welfare System" which in most cases refuses to help families where both the mom and dad live under the same roof with their dependent children, and "disqualifies" them no matter their plight or penury, while rewarding broken families and giving hefty checks, rent subsidies, food stamps, and WIC vouchers, every month, to "Project Negresses" with half a dozen kids... each from different fathers!

I know this to be factual because almost 30 years ago, when four of my children were little, during the recession that followed the disastrous Carter presidency, I was forced by dire circumstances, for the first and only time in my life, to seek help from the Welfare Department, and I was bluntly told by the case worker that so long as my wife and I were together we did not qualify for assistance though my children could very well starve, but that, quote: "If I left my wife, then my wife and my children would qualify for assistance" suggesting in no uncertain terms that maybe it was better, for their own good, if I left them! Talk about "leftist family values"!

In communists countries, such as in Russia, the Eastern Block, China, North Korea, and Cuba, children were and are routinely taught since Kindergarten that their parent is "Stalin," or "Mao," or "Kim Jong Il," or "Fidel." This is because if you read the writings of Marx, Engels, and Lenin, you 'll see that to the "Elitist" (is any resemblance to Obama purely coincidental?), communist, "Intelligentsia" the family unit is a stumbling block to the "commune" where husbands, wives, children, and all property is held in "common" (Hillary's "It Takes A Village"?), and in forty years of the "Great Society" the left in America has sure done a pretty good job of almost eradicating the "black family," has it not?
