Arutz Sheva: IAF Attacks Targets In Lebanon

Topics: Lebanon

(Breaking?) IsraelNN.com reports that according to Arab media, IDF jets attacked several targets in southern Lebanon today, including the cities of Nebatiyeh, Tyre and the western Bekaa Valley. Arab media claim that Lebanese anti-aircraft positions fired on the Israeli aircraft, but all IDF servicemen are believed to have returned safely to Israel. Interestingly, the JP has it more or less the other way around, that IAF jets circling in low altitude over Lebanese airspace, were attacked with anti aircraft fire from the Lebanese Armed Forces.

The report says that the IDF will not comment on the incident, which likely means that the report is reasonably accurate and that the attack(s) (one or the other, and whichever occurred first) did occur. And I can't help but wonder if the "Lebanese anti-aircraft positions" were manned by Hezbollah.
