It's Out: 'Fitna' The Movie (Video)Topics: Understanding Islam
It's here ....
Fitna, "the Movie" - by Dutch MP Geert Wilders, sparked controversy long before its release, and has had the world asking questions about Wilders' intentions, the Netherlands and its government, and about the position of Muslims in the Netherlands. The central character in this film is also struggling with these questions, and decides to travel to The Netherlands in search of answers."
... The movie offers (his (Wilders') view on Islam and the Qur'an. The film's title comes from the Arabic word fitna which is used to describe "disagreement and division among people", or a "test of faith in times of trial".Unquestionably, this film needs to be seen by everyone.
... The sixteen minute movie shows a selection of Suras from the Qur'an, interspersed with partial newspaper clippings and media clips. The movie is accompanied by music from the Peer Gynt suite by Edvard Grieg, specifically Aase's Death (Aase is the mother of Per in the play written by Henrik Ibsen).
... The movie starts with a warning, stating that the movie contains "very shocking images". During the title screen, a book is subsequently opened that resembles the Qur'an. A page in the book contains a cartoon from the Danish cartoonist Kurt Westergaard, showing the Prophet Muhammad with a bomb on his head. Next to the cartoon, a timer starts counting down from 15 minutes.

The take home message from the film: Stop Islamization, or die - as does Western civilization.
Here, Geert Wilder's gives a 7 1/2 minute interview on Danish TV (in English) at Europe, the Dutch, Islam, and more, and he pulls no punches.
From Michelle Malkin comes this message for all of us to the Islamists:
Here's President George Bush with a gesture that damned well applies to the Islamists' goal of world domination - speaking for America:

First of all I am Muslim. I watched this video. It was rather sick the way it was presented. However, if you feel watching go for it. It don't change my thought about my religion, I think its a great religion and its a world wide religion. Just read the history when we had the power, and still the 2nd biggest religion in the world, and perhaps the 1st biggest in converts. When we ruled we didn't kill anyone like they do killing us from back and forth, we didn't convert anyone before we killed them, like they did to Native Indians in America, we don't force anyone to convert, they simple do because they know that our religion make sense, and its all the mercy from Allah.

It would be false to believe that its Prophet Muhammad's Picture or Cartoon.Like I should believe that people draw something and consider it Allah's image. I think Muslim should not mind such things because they can't insult our religion. If someone draw a cartoon, does it make it Prophet Muammad?

In the first place, the film and this post is directed at Islamists (Muslim extremists, who kill far more Muslims than non-Muslims, but have no problem murdering Christians and Jews and are intent on world domination by Islam). As Wilders points out in his film, Islam definitely needs reform, and if you don't see this you are blind as a bat, terribly ignorant of the realities of Islam and its complete lack of any central authority (don't give me the Allah rules crap), and lack reason, common sense, and logic.
You claim to be a Muslim, and you should be sickened by what you saw in the video - but sickened only because of what you see fellow Muslims doing to your faith. If otherwise, you're siding with the extremists.
Your angst should be directed toward your fellow Muslims that are showing the world a violent form of Islam, one that focuses on world domination and that other faiths are inferior to Islam.
As for your revisionist history of Islam, I guess you're entitled to believe what you want to, even though you are sadly deluding yourself. While all Muslims are not Islamists, clearly all Islamists are Muslims. And just as clearly, Islamists are sick, violent, hateful, non-thinking, murdering idealogues with no regard for human life, democracy, secular rule, and tolerance of others and all other religions.

I am saddend to see such ignorant statements being made about my religion. And this movie will only show how ignorant some people are. This movie will only make me laugh because it does not prove anything. It only gives my religion more publicity and get people to start asking questions, which will only lead to only more converts. Because once people see Islam for the beautifull religion it really is they cant help themselves but to convert and livve a fulfilling life.

Can someone tell me what an islamist is and where do they live. This is a new word, is it even in the dictionary?

As for Bilqis's first remarks, "It only gives my religion more publicity and get people to start asking questions, which will only lead to only more converts. Because once people see Islam for the beautifull religion it really is they cant help themselves but to convert and livve (sic) a fulfilling life," I guess for those who have rather low self esteem and are so inclined to not think for oneself, perhaps she/he is right.
But unless one thinks blowing people up, cutting off peoples' heads, and claiming ones' religion is to rule all others - in the name of their religion, is peaceful (to whom I'm not quite sure), surely Bilqis is speaking in gest.
And for Bilqis' enlightenment, an Islamist is someone who follows the theofascist ideology of radical Islam and its understanding of jihad.
If one is a Muslim and believes otherwise, than they are not an Islamist and they are not particularly the subject of Wilders' film.
